Flash Ring

This has a really bad seam line on the side.
As you can tell  the seam line is now gone, but I didnt get rid of the seams in the ridges. Its also a little shinier.
It didnt come out as good as i thought..

Howdy!! Been out a while..

Plenty on my plate.  First up... I air brushed a new gundam. The RX78.  Ive done this gundam before, but I seem to gravitate back to it.  Why?? I like it, its an easy build, and there are plenty of color schemes that I can use.
Below is the RX78 One Year War version.  It has plenty of panel lines as opposed to the RX78 ver 2.

Boring!!

I used alcad Airframe to paint the metal joints.  Looks good?  In a way it might be too shiny, so magnesium would have worked.

New color scheme..

I used a pre shading technique to give the armor depth and the illusion of shadows. All the edges are a little darker, because of this technique.

Here you can really tell the edges have a shadow on them.

Whats this??  A Flash ring that you can get whne you purchase Flash #1.

Horrible seam line. I wonder if I can sand that down and airbrush it?

Wow... Completely sanded...

below is the before pic...
as you can tell not very shiny and not very appealing.
the above pic shows how ive added the same texture technique but the gold is very shiny.

I simply soaked a towel in tamiya gold, and used my finger to brush over the surface. If you drench the towel in gold, it will flow into the crevices.  You dont want that. You want all the imperfections to show and to give it depth.
The original pandora color was very dull and not very appealing.
Here my assistant (jay) spray painted the entire box black.
