Adding on the option parts...
Well at first glance I was thinking.... "What a rip off!!" Everything looks the same, but as you can see the option parts are slightly longer in size.

Now that I finished my "best practices" test on the casval. I can now start on this bad boy. It's on like donkey kong! B n

Not grafitti eyes, but gundam eyes...
Auroa film for gundams are pretty expensive. Especially when you have to order them from overseas. You can buy some of the same film at Micheals in the gift wrapping section.
The problem is that this material is very flimsy, and hard to cut gundam eyes.
Here is the solution.

Here is the solution.
- get the orignal gundam eye sticker that comes with your kit
- use double sided tape to secure it to a cutting mat
- gently put the Auroa film over the tape
Considering how tiny the eyes are, this is probably as good as its gonna get.

Gundam Casval..
So i put my sinnanju on hold. In the meantime, Ill be implementing some techniques on the Casval. Basically practice for the sinanju.
The build is straight forward, but emphasis will be applied on priming, and sanding. I want an extremely smooth finish so I will be using 1200, 1500, and 2000 grit sand paper.

Sinanju Option Parts
Howdy!!
My special order sinanju parts came in today. I guess Ive gone overboard with the gundam option parts. Ive done decent gundam work for a while now, but Ive seen plenty of cool and unique gundams that have "option parts". A little pricey but once you have a good paint job, the next step to making your gundam stand out would be the mods and option parts.
Here are the pics..Very stunning...

A Year and my brain is already hard at work...
Howdy!!
Last night, i chilled out and watched some fireworks in my neighborhood. There were more gunshots this year than last. I guess they didnt have money to buy fireworks and decided to shoot bullets instead.
Well, my Airbrushing skills are decent, but not great. To the normal eye I get away with a lot of things, but to hardcore gundam fans, they can see all to well some "issues".
One of my issues would be that I do not have a smooth finish. Even though the paint is microns thick, its visible.
I decided to experiment and try some hardcore japanese Gundam techniques.
First off I bought some Mr Hobby 1200 primer. This is supposed to be a really fine mist.
You can either spray can primer on or Air brush it. I decided to Airbrush. Now here is the experiment part. I lightly wet sanded one side of my primed sheet with 1200 grit sandpaper. Lo... and Behold, it became smoother. Rubbing your finger over the entire sheet you can tell the coarse section.

You can tell where i wet sanded. I probably didnt add enough primer layers, but it is extremely smooth. The other side is coarse.
Now I will need to Air brush some paint on it. Before I start on my Green Knight Sinanju ver Remo Williams, i need to make sure that it will look good, with these new techniques that im using.
More to come....
As far as New Years resolution, I dont believe in them. I do know this, my gundam time will be extremely limited.
Cheers!!!
